Slope fastener for steel roofs

Attaching a flat roof structure can be a time-consuming and labor-intensive task. With the new BSA Slope Fastening System from SFS, work can be done efficiently and cost-effectively. The system offers quick attachment with a minimal required product range, allowing for the assembly of an entire roof in a short amount of time.

Applicable in combination with
GuardianWeldTM induction.

The product is specifically developed for use in steel roofs where sloped insulation is applied. Similar to the Guardian ASTL, only a few combinations are needed to accommodate all various build-up thicknesses. With a single fastener, this can range up to 85 mm in build-up difference. Additionally, you are always ensured a fixed insertion depth of 20 mm into the steel. This is ideal, for example, when sprinkler installations are mounted close to the steel sheet. This also limits the visibility of screws on the inside.

In concrete terms, these conveniences result in less frustration and significant time savings during operations.

The assurance of stability with each step is just as crucial, and this is also guaranteed with the BSA Slope Fastening System. As roofs increasingly serve functional purposes, there are more movements on a roof. Given that the washer can move freely downwards and the screw does not penetrate through the roofing material, it is the safest solution without compromising any strength.

By utilizing a plastic washer, there is a thermal bridge interruption, thus minimizing loss in insulation value. This can even result in a thinner insulation package while still achieving the required RC values. Feel free to reach out to us if you would like to learn more about this.

Advantages:

  • Bridging multiple build-up thicknesses with a single combination of slope fasteners.
  • Fixed insertion depth of 20 mm into the substrate at all times.
  • Reduced labor and frustration due to a limited number of combinations.
  • Stability in every step as the washer can freely move downwards.
  • Thermal bridge interruption to achieve required RC values.
  • Up to 85 mm bridging capability with a single washer combination.
  • Circular applicability.

Circularity

Furthermore, circularity is becoming an increasingly important aspect. We also strive for sustainability and minimal environmental impact. The circular applicability with the detachable fastening enables this. By using this combination, a roof can be completely dismantled and recycled. In short, it's the answer to sustainable construction.

Various applications

The BSA system can be combined with various plates for different applications:

  • Ø 50 for overlap fastening
  • 70x70 for insulation and bitumen
  • Induction plate for PVC, TPO, and EPDM

In practice

This system has already proven successful on multiple roofs across Europe. It has also made its debut on Dutch rooftops.
